Cross-platform play on console and mobile
Minecraft is a game that can be played on many different platforms, including consoles and mobile devices. One of the great things about Minecraft is that it offers cross-platform play, so you can play with your friends no matter what platform they’re on.
If you want to play with someone on a different platform, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. First, not all versions of Minecraft support cross-platform play. For example, the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft (which is available on many different platforms) does not support cross-platform play with the Java Edition (which is only available on PC).
Second, even if both versions of Minecraft do support cross-platform play, there may be some differences in how the game is played. For example, on console versions of Minecraft, players can only join servers that have been specifically set up for cross-platform play. On mobile versions of Minecraft, players can join any server that they like, but they may not have access to all of the same features as players on other platforms.
Finally, keep in mind that cross-platform play is not always possible. If you’re playing on a console or mobile device and you want to play with someone on a different platform, you’ll need to make sure that both platforms are supported by Minecraft and that both players have an active subscription to Minecraft Realms (if applicable).
Community Marketplace and servers
You’re able to buy and sell player-made in-game creations on the new Minecraft Marketplace, and access a growing catalogue of Minecraft worlds (levels) created by other players. You can also join massive servers operated by the biggest Minecraft community creators.
If you’re looking to give yourself a break from all the adventuring, combat, and block-building of the main game, Minecraft Realms could be just what you need. Realms is a separate mode that allows you and your friends to play together in your own private world, with its own rules, gameplay settings, and special features.
In order to use Realms, you’ll first need to sign up for a subscription. This will give you access to all the features of Realms, as well as a number of other bonuses, like discounts on certain in-game items. Once you’ve subscribed, you can create your own Realm or join one that’s already been set up by another player.
There are two different types of Realms: personal and public. Personal Realms are only accessible by those who have been invited by the owner, while public Realms can be found and joined by anyone. If you’re planning on opening up your Realm to the public, you’ll need to make sure that it meets all the necessary requirements.
Once you’ve got your Realm set up the way you want it, invite some friends and start exploring! You can even customize the game further by installing some of the many available mods. With so much to do, Minecraft Realms is the perfect way to extend your Minecraft experience.
