Sea of Thieves technical alpha Xbox one

What is the Sea of Thieves Technical Alpha?

The Sea of Thieves Technical Alpha is a version of the game that is still in development. It is available to many players on Xbox One and PC. The purpose of the Technical Alpha is to stress-test the game’s servers and get players’ feedback about their experience.

Technical Alpha players will have access to a subset of the content that will be available in the full game. The game world will be smaller, and there will be fewer explorable islands. The number of pirates per server will also be limited. We will gradually increase the Technical Alpha’s size over time, adding more content and features as we go.

Players who participate in the Technical Alpha will not have their progress carried over to the full game. This is because the Technical Alpha is a work-in-progress version of Sea of Thieves, and we want players to feel like they can experiment without worrying about breaking something.

We’re looking for pirates who are willing to put our servers through their paces, and who are eager to give us feedback about their experience. If you’re interested in being a part of the Technical Alpha, sign up now!
